Best of 2007 Addendum

Curse my hasty desire to post a best albums of 2007 list.

The oversight committee has reviewed the final document and have found it to be in need of immediate recourse and modification.

Therefore, let be written that hitherto fore and forever “Okkervil River: The Stage Names” shall be inserted and codified as ranking 3a. on Peddling The Pedantic's Top Ten albums from 2007 list.

We apologize for the grievous omission--must be the growing pains of a young democracy.

In an attempt to reconcile this error of judgment, please enjoy this fine video selections:

Great song, better video. Wolf Parade - Modern World:

This one is good too.

A toy-air-powered-mini-keyboard!? If only they had cloggers. Albert Hammond Jr. - In Transit:

One of my favorite videos. Modest Mouse - Dashboard:

This one is good too.

New Musics Tuesday

Bishop Allen, not to be confused with Bishop Allen. The song is called Like Castanets. This video is way more entertaining than those old Peanuts cartoons.

REM has a new live album out. This song is not on it. This video does however provide us with the opportunity to admire Dave Letterman and Michael Stipe rockin the faux-fro.

So. Central Rain:

Jose Gonzalez - Down The Line:

New Music Tuesday

Anytime clogging and florescent tights can be incorporated into an act, I say they deserve the Matt Higginson bump.

Tilly And The Wall:

New music Wednesday

I'm gonna try to post some video's and or links to new music each week around Tuesday or Wednesday:

Band Of Horses new album is fantastic, despite my brother Darren's claim that they are a "poor man's My Morning Jacket." I haven't been this excited by a band since Oingo Boingo.

Radiohead will let you choose the price of their most recent gem In Rainbows...I kid you not. I think most of the songs have been performed live for years but it is well worth a download. Careful with the pound to dollar conversion.

One of my favorite songs from the album is Reckoner.

Oh Canada, Oh Taylor

I have always known that my good buddy J. Taylor Oblad enjoys Disney and Halloween, but I never knew he had a webpage dedicated to his infatuation.

Click here to see his most disturbing displays.
